Radiotherapy of soft tissue sarcoma

 
A paper from our group by Nina L. Jebsen et al. was recently accepted and is currently in press for Int. Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics.

Treatment of bone metastasis

 

In the latest issue of Clinical Cancer Research, a separate section is devoted to the proceedings from an expert meeting in Boston, October last year. Here invited papers on various aspects of the management of patients with bone metastases are published. This includes a review (by Bruland et al.) on external radiotherapy, bone-seeking radiopharamaceuticals, including recent progress using Alpharadin - a novel bone-seeker; currently in phase II clinical testing in patients with bone metastases from hormone refractory prostate cancer.

Det norske selskapet Algeta ASA vekker internasjonale investorers interesse. Selskapet får 185 millioner kroner fra tunge venturefond for å videreutvikle en ny type behandling for prostatakreft som har spredd seg til skjelett.
